Xiaomi Mi Bunny Smartwatch: The Wearable Tech for Kids That Mixes Cuteness with Functionality
Xiaomi introduced the Mi Bunny smartwatch for kids, delivering a wearable tech with useful features in a cute package. To keep it short and direct, it offers what one might expect out of a smartwatch designed for children. In other words, this isn't exactly anything pioneering or groundbreaking, but at any rate, it's still pretty handy at times. Under the covering, it has a built-in GPS to let parents keep track of their youngsters' location, not to mention that they can set up a zone and get alerts when their children step out of it. Going over the other notable functions, kids can make calls and receive them and even press an SOS button in the event of an emergency. Once the button is pressed, the device will automatically start recording audio for 7 seconds and send it along with the location of the child to their parents' smartphone.

Fossil's Entry Into Smartwatches Helps Legitimize The Wearable Technology Market
Fossil recently announced a line of smartwatches and so becomes one of the newest non-tech players in the wearable technology space. Companies like Nike, Under Armour and Adidas have all made forays into wearable technology, but some of them have failed and others have yet to attain major success. The reality is that success in the wearable tech space is very difficult, especially for non-tech companies. This is why Fossil’s partnership with Intel is crucial to their ability to bring wearable tech to market. Fossil’s entry also means they believe wearable tech is important to stay relevant in the consumer watch market. Fossil’s new Q Line is made up of four new products: the Q Reveler, Q Dreamer, Q Grant, and Q Founder. The Q Reveler and Q Dreamer look like extremely fashionable activity trackers, while the Q Grant and Q Founder look like a regular Fossil watch and a smartwatch respectively.

Ford plans to use Wearable technology to build smarter cars
Making the wearable technology a bit more integrated to our lifestyle, Ford scientists and engineers are working to embed wearable devices and vehicles to enable driver-assist technologies to be more aware of the driver behind the wheel - particularly when that driver is stressed or sleepy. Citing an example, Ford mentioned that lane-keeping assist, could become more sensitive if a smart watch sends data to the vehicle that infers the driver didn't get enough sleep the previous night. Alternatively, if a driver's heart rate increases as traffic intensifies, the vehicle's adaptive cruise control could increase the distance between vehicles - giving the driver some breathing room.
